As the market leader in the UK asbestos disposal industry, Windsor Waste Management has secured an exclusive deal to bring a thermochemical treatment process for destroying asbestos to the UK.

The patented technology was developed by American company, ARI Technologies Inc., and is nationally permitted by the US Environmental Protection Agency.  It destroys asbestos fibres through a thermal and chemical process, producing a non-toxic, product that can be recycled in many construction applications.

Dale Timmons, President, ARI Technologies Inc. says: “This process will divert hundreds of thousands of tons of asbestos waste away from landfills and produce a safe, useful product.  We are delighted to partner with Windsor Waste Management who, with a guaranteed feedstock of asbestos, is ideally positioned to bring this technology to the UK.”

Tony Windsor, Managing Director, Windsor Waste Management says: “Windsor Waste Management is committed to providing cost effective and environmentally responsible waste solutions to our customers.  With hundreds of thousands of tonnes of hazardous, life threatening asbestos material still in situ around us in our day to day lives, we are very pleased to have negotiated this deal with ARI Technology to bring this exciting technology to the UK.”
